Blackclough is a property situated in a remote location with panoramic views of the Dane Valley in the Peak District National Park. The farmhouse accomodates 5-6 people or can be combined with the converted barn to accomodate 12-15.

Both Farmhouse and Barn are furnished to a high standard whilst retaining the warmth and character of the region's farming and mining heritage. They are linked internally such that together they can provide plenty of space and comfort for a large group.

Blackclough is ideally situated for walking with numerous public footpaths nearby leading to recreational resources such as the Goyt Valley, the climbing area of The Roaches and The Cat & Fiddle Inn (second highest in England). Blackclough is the closest dwelling to the Three Shires Head, is two miles from Flash (highest village in England) and four miles from the town of Buxton.

The water is spring fed and electrically filtered, fed from the same Moorland spring sources as Buxton Water and the nearby Penny Holes.

As with all the neighbouring remote properties, WIFI and mobile signals are currently unreliable - (T mobile is best, but nearby Flash Bar Stores and Coffee Shop has WIFI and a good signal) so enjoy and celebrate the peace of Blackclough.

There is a further detached barn that can be hired at a minimal cost as a classroom/workshop or training facility. It has been used for painting classes, photography workshops, textile design, and triathlon training sessions. The England Badminton squad use it annually as a training base and it is a popular centre for team building breaks.

Approved by Visit Britain as three star self catering accommodations, it is also registered as cycling friendly. There a six mountain bikes available to hire, and BBQ if requested.
