Blackclough Barn

The Barn is linked internally to the farmhouse and was renovated to provide ancillary accommodation to the house. There are four separate bedrooms in the Barn, including the link room with its double futon. Each room is heated by electric storage heaters.

The spectacular large galleried living room has a wood burning stove, a colour TV and windows to the panoramic view. Stairs from the living room lead up to the very large main bedroom with its magnificent Queens truss. This bedroom contains a king sized bed and this bedroom area can be separated from the two single beds by a curtain. There are two further bedrooms; the upstairs one originally provided accommodation for the shepherd sleeping above his sheep/cattle, and has the original fireplace. It has however been modernised with a double bed, and a fabulous view from the window down the valley. Below it is another bedroom, with the original cattle hayrack, but now carpeted and with two 3` single beds.

The room that links the house and barn (with a lockable door) has a futon couch that becomes a double bed. All the Barn beds have duvets and pillows but no bed linen is provided in The Barn.

The newly re-furbished and well equipped kitchen has an electric hob, oven, dishwasher, and a fridge and microwave. The bathroom has a power shower and a WC.

There are six mountain bikes and a BBQ available, given advance warning to the caretaker.
